El Paso, TX – West Texas Food Bank announced today that it has received $20,000 to combat child hunger in El Paso Colonias. The grant will be used for the “Para Los Niños De Las Colonias” initiative. The initiative will consist of providing over 600 (40 lbs) emergency boxes to children of El Paso Colonias on a monthly basis for 6 months. The first distribution will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. at the El Paso County Self-Help Center and Alianza para el Desarrollo Comunitario.
